Prof. Dr. Uzmay completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University and received his MSc and PhD degrees from İstanbul Technical University. He conducted postdoctoral research on the dynamics of robotic and mechanical systems at the University of Birmingham.

Prof. Dr. Uzmay was appointed associate professor in 1988 and professor in 1994. In addition to his academic duties, he served as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Vice Rector of Erciyes University, making significant contributions to the university’s administrative structure.
Prof. Dr. Uzmay’s work has been published in leading journals in the field of Machine Theory, and he has served as a referee for these journals for many years.

Prof. Dr. Uzmay has been an active member of the Turkish Machine Theory Association for many years, making important contributions to strengthening academic interaction and institutionalization in the field of theory of machines.

His students and colleagues who knew him will remember Prof. Dr. Uzmay for his kindness, patriotism, work discipline, scientific rigor, and his guidance that encouraged his students to develop.
